Tetra Pak/Carton Recycling on the Increase

86% of local authorities now offer some sort of tetra pak/carton recycling facilities and 30% collect them from kerbside, according to the Tetra Pak Recycling website. Only a few years ago there were very few opportunities to recycle cartons resulting in a massive amount of this type of waste going to landfill. But now most of us have the opportunity to recycle this type of waste. For many of us this may still mean taking cartons to a nearby bank but hopefully kerbside collection rates will continue to increase.

I tend to take my cartons once every few weeks when I am driving past our nearest collection point and, given the amount we seem to collect in that time, I feel much better than I did when I had to chuck them in the bin. You can find your nearest collection point on the Tetra Pak Recycling website.
