REVIEW - Book of Green

The online version of Book of Green is accessed from their website at www.bookofgreen.co.uk and it is very easy to do so. On opening the publication you are given the choice of three ways to view the directory, either magazine view whereby you can turn pages and see a double page spread, presentation view which shows single pages or paper view where you are basically scrolling down. I personally liked paper view best but unfortunately the links from the contents page to the various sections weren’t working. They worked fine in the other two views.

New Page on Voltage Optimisation

We have a new page on our main website on the topic of voltage optimisation. This technology allows the voltage coming into a building to be reduced, saving energy and offering benefits to electrical equipment which can suffer due to overvoltage.

REVIEW - Radiator Booster

The product works by the use of a fan which automatically switches on when the built-in thermostat reaches a set temperature. It is possible to hear the fan running quietly and you can feel the warm air being blown out from the Radiator Booster if you put your hand nearby. Whilst it isn’t possible to accurately measure how much energy the product saves, it is logical that the action of the fan will help to heat the room more effectively which should in turn save energy.

I would suggest that the Radiator Booster is a great product to use in your most-frequented rooms which are usually those with radiators set to the highest temperatures. At around £19 each, the initial outlay for these products could add up if you were to buy them for a number of radiators, but, according to the packaging, they could pay for themselves within two winter months.
