Environment Agency Publishes Report on Carrier Bags

The Environment Agency has published their findings on the carbon footprint of carrier bags, comparing 'single-use' supermarket bags with 'bags-for-life' and cotton bags. It makes interesting reading, but the upshot is that, whatever bags we use, we should use them as many times as possible. Using a 'bag-for-life' just 4 times makes its carbon footprint smaller than a 'single-use' bag!
